Project 189 is inviting everyone to participate and support “Project 52-Pixels: An Art Gallery for Domestic Workers in Kuwait”. The vision and mission of Project 189 is “for all domestic workers to be equal and free from all forms of exploitation, discrimination and abuse and in which all states recognize in law and in practice domestic work as work under international labour and human rights law [and] to strengthen labour and human rights law in the Middle East through advocacy, awareness, empowerment and the promotion of Convention 189 (Convention concerning decent work for domestic workers)”.
Project 52-Pixels will conduct photography workshops from professional photographers and curate a photography exhibition for household workers. During day offs, household workers will be provided cameras as well as intense courses in photography. Project 189 encourages [sponsors] to grant a day off to household workers and promote such initiative. For further details please contact 97841212 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
